We work with our community for all County kids
We make getting books seamless for low-income households and families and children facing other challenges by bringing books to the places and spaces that are built to support them. By layering literacy into the work of our incredible partners who are protecting many other essential human rights — food, shelter, clothing, education — our community partnership program brings books to the places where they’re most needed.
“County Kids Read is dedicated to providing an exciting variety of new books for families and children of all ages at our Food Bank. They make books accessible and appealing for our families, and children get to build their own collection at home! In this technological world, it is magical to light a fire and see children discover a love of reading books. The County Kids Read program makes a difference in our community. Thank you!”

We’re part of an incredible ecosystem of care and support that is vital to life in the County today and for building a brighter future for all County kids tomorrow. Our role in that ecosystem is simple: give County kids their very own books. We’re grateful to each of our partners and the roles they play in our work, as well as their own work on behalf of children and families.
