We meet County kids where they are so they can have their very own books
We bring and share a wide selection of books at events across Prince Edward County in collaboration with community groups, Recreation Committees, schools, and more. This is the perfect way to ensure that we’re bringing books to children and families because we’re turning up where they already are and having fun. We give books to every child we encounter — no questions asked.
County Kids Read prioritizes access for children in families who are facing financial challenges and children facing other barriers to reading/educational success. When determining which events to attend, we consult data sources including The County Foundation’s Vital Signs Databank and school reading test scores, and also consider the capacity of our volunteer team.
